Lynnwood Equestrian Center: Girls Love Their Horses, RVs and Cameras

by Sheen Watkins

Not only do girls love their Harvest Hosts stopovers, girls love their horses, RVs and cameras! Our recent Harvest Hosts experience at Lynnwood Equestrian Center was simply delightful. Imagine an evening where you hang in the barn with beautiful faces of horses staring back longingly for a quick scratch or neck nuzzle.

When I read about Lynnwood Equestrian Center something told me it was going to be a special stop. The evening was truly blog-worthy.

Girls Love Their Horses, RVs and Cameras

After navigating Charlotte traffic, finding Lynnwood Equestrian Center was quite easy. Located in a quiet neighborhood, the center is in a setting that feels far away from the big city. After walking the dogs (always on a leash!) along the gravel road and nearby neighborhood, it was time to explore.

As I grew up with horses, the familiar scents pulled me through the barn and tack room. Saddles, bridles, halters and grooming supplies are all part of the horse landscape too. From there, it was out to the rings to watch horse and rider work together.

I returned to our camper where Terilynn delivered our home cooked Cowboy Spaghetti meal to our door. Holy spaghetti was it ever delicious! Dave and I planned to eat half and save the rest for the next day. Well, that didn’t happen. Within a few minutes, it was completely devoured. And, to top it off, a bottle of red wine was included in addition to fresh bread and cookies. A relaxing and filling way to end the day.

Before leaving the next morning, the neighing of horses pulled me back for one last stroll and a few more delightful camera moments.

A Place to Revisit

Lynnwood is very much a family oriented and family friendly horse boarding and training equestrian center. Their barn and its’ 25 beautiful acres is located in Fort Mill, S.C. Terilynn and Matt Storey, the long time owners, take a lot of personal pride in sharing this special place that’s a haven for horses, their riders and their owners. They also welcome Harvest Host guests with big smiles and southern charm.

As we’re on our way to Florida, we continue to rely on Harvest Host locations to our destinations when camping. The reason? Each Harvest Host location is a destination that elevates the camping and travel experience.
